    8th Grade Language Arts

    August 25, 2021 THURSDAY WORK: Grammar pages 11-13 (1-9 and 1-10) Read “Top Man” pages 20 until the bottom of page 21 (Grace, you may start at the beginning. We missed you!) In your composition book, under the Notes section, write down the character with a brief description of each. Note any CONFLICTS and tell what kind of conflict it is. As you read, write down acts that took courage or bravery. Find at least five vocabulary words and put the word with its definition into the VOCABULARY section of your composition notebook.     This class is a great group of students! We are going to have fun exploring history together! Due August 31 Study the "American's Creed" Label the map on Map book page 5, practice locating the oceans and continents, and read the facts from pg. 327-328 Complete Quiz 2 (open book) Read "How Archaeologists Study History" pg. 16-17 and pg.18-20 Build a Ziggurat or pyramid to bring in to class.
