    Creative Writing/High School ELA: 5-10-22

    Study for tomorrow's vocabulary test. Some students still need to turn in their 5-Paragraph Essay. This was not an optional assignment, so please give them to me by tomorrow. No excuses. :)

    Grades 3/4 and 5/6 ELA: 5-10-11

    All Grades: Study for tomorrow's spelling and vocabulary tests. You are ALMOST done! :) Grades 3/4: Students have six chapters left in Farmer Boy. Please have them finish reading and turn in their books to me no later than Thursday. I know that is Fun Day, but they can still give their copies to me then if they don't finish reading beforehand. Grades 5/6: You have no work other than studying for your tests.

    Watch the news, read a news website, or read a newspaper. Write down a short description of two national current events and two local events. Write down how watching the news made you feel.

    Finish your cereal box project and memorize the presidents. If you did not finish your quizzes or map work in class that should be finished too.

    5th Grade Math (May 6)

    Good morning.....we have been working thru the last chapter that we are doing in our book for this year. The last chapter is about data and graphs and we will go over some next week. We will be reviewing for ITBS test next week. Please if you have any pages you have not handed in I need them Tuesday!!! I have to get grades together for Mrs Christi next week.     4th Grade Math (May 6)

    Good morning....we finished our book this week. We are now reviewing for the ITBS test that will be the last week of school. Yesterday we worked on some multiplication and for the weekend I sent them a division page to work on. So the weekend homework will just be to do the division handout. Hope y'all have a wonderful weekend!! Happy Mother's Day on Sunday!!!

    Biology animal project instructions

    Must have a trifold board. Must answer the questions on your animal of: *Taxonomy (Kingdom phylum class......) *Habitat (area/environment) *What does it eat? *Facts about physical appearance *Cool, unique, and interesting facts Must have pictures of your animal If your grade is not where you want it to be, or you just want to, you can also bring a 3D project to accompany your trifold board.     Grades 3/4: Read chapters 14, 15, and 16 in Farmer Boy. I did not assign any comprehension questions. We are going to need to do a lot of reading over the next week to finish the book! :) Go over the BJU Grammar chapter 9 Review worksheet that we did in class today. I will give another review sheet tomorrow, and we will have the chapter 9 test over pronouns on Tuesday. The test format is similar to the review sheet.     -Some students still need to turn in their first drafts of the Five-Paragraph Essay by tomorrow! -Read chapters 18-20 (pgs. 116-120) in My Side of the Mountain and answer all the chapter comprehension questions in complete sentences. -Create a 'portmanteau' which is a combination of two words created by a writer to make a new word. For example: HANGRY = Hungry + Angry
