Grades 3/4 and 5/6 ELA: 12-6-22

Continue to study for Thursday's spelling and vocabulary tests.

Grades 3/4:

I sent home recordable The Night Before Christmas books with students today. They are my gifts to the students, but I want them to record themselves reading the story by following the 'recording' instructions on the inside of the front cover. They have a whole week to practice and record. They are supposed to bring the books with them next Tuesday to share their recordings with the class--then they can take the books back home to keep. We talked about the importance of reading slowly and clearly. Practicing enunciation is always a good thing! :)

Grades 5/6:

Read chapters 7-8 in The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle and answer the corresponding questions in complete sentences.
