Go to the following website to research the astronaut whose name you drew. https://www.nasa.gov/humans-in-space/astronauts/former-astronauts/ Use what you learn to write a short (at least five sentences) introduction. Pretend the astronaut whose name you have is fixing to give a speech at a big event and it is your job to introduce him/her. Be ready to give this introduction in front of the class. This assignment is a type of short informative speech. In class we talked about different kinds of speeches. Two other kinds are inspirational and persuasive. In addition to the introduction, you need to choose either one of these two and write a short speech. For example, if you choose to try to persuade your audience (the class) that football is a great sport, you need to come up with at least three reasons it is great. If you choose to try to inspire the class, pick an inspirational topic and give at least three points to inspire the class. Complete the weekend sections for cursive. Write sentences with words 1-11 on vocabulary list five. Please do these assignments. Some are not turning in all assignments.
