Mrs. Lynn’s Language Arts Classes

November 4, 2022

We are really struggling with grammar. Flu hitting, and so many students being absent, has created a situation where many are struggling to “catch up.” Grammar builds, so if you miss parts, you cannot just skip it and move on. I will offer Extra Help Sessions from 1-2 on Tuesdays for students that need extra help. Parents are welcome to attend. This is open to any and all students in my 7th or 8th grade classes.

Weekend Work:

8th Grade:

Literature: Finish reading “Don Quixote.” Read Thinking Zone on page 152 and do the questions.

Writing: Write another adventure tale for Don Quixote and Sancho Panza. Keep the characters true to his nature. Remember the discussion we had about the difference between Don being “stupid” and him having lost touch with reality. Be creative and take your time with this adventure. Adventures and quests often were met with rewards for the knight that won the favor of the queen. Queen Lynn wants to be impressed!

Grammar:

3-12, 3-13, 3-15, and 3-16.

Quiz over the 23 auxiliary verbs Tuesday.
