4th Grade Vocabulary Words : Chapter 4 & 5 Review 

1.  Persuasive Writing - convinces the audience to do something or agree with the writer's opinion.

2.  Introduction - the beginning of a writing piece. 

3.  Conclusion - the ending of a writing piece.

4.  Verb - tells what the simple subject does or is.

5.  Main Verb - tells the action of the subject.

6.  Helping Verbs - helps the main verb.

7.  Present Tense Verb - Tells about something that is happening now.

8.  Past Tense Verb - Tells about something that has already happened. 

9.  Future Tense Verb - Tells about something that will happen in the future.

10.  Simple Subject - who or what the sentence is about.
