It has been a great first week of school! I am looking forward to a great year !!!

This week we have started Chapter 1 Lessons 1, 2, 3, and 4.

We have also started our first book of the year The Sign of the Beaver. We will do our best to read one chapter a day and our vocabulary words each week will be pulled from the book. I will post the vocabulary words each week and we will glue the words in our composition notebooks in class each week.

The Composition Notebook Cover can be decorated however they would like. We will use these almost everyday, gluing and writing things to help them with each lesson. Some lessons have journal entry's we will write them in there as well. I told them it is going to be like one big study guide for the year.

Some of the students have tore out chapter one and carried it in their binder or a prong folder and left their book in class for one less thing to carry each day. I will make sure they tear out the correct pages needed when we begin a new chapter. They are welcome to do so, I know some students just like to carry their book and that is completely okay just another option !

All tests will be on Wednesday's spelling and chapter test.
