Sentence - a group of words that expresses a complete thought
Compound Sentence - contains two or more simple sentences joined together with a comma and conjunction.
Complete Subject - all of the words in the subject part that tell whom or what the sentence is about.
Simple Subject - the main word or words in the complete subject.
Compound Subject - has two or more simple subjects that share the same predicate
Simple Predicate - the main word or words in the complete predicate. The verb in the sentence.
Fragment - a group of words that does not express a complete thought
Preposition - shows the relationship between a noun or pronoun and other words in the sentences
Object of a Prepositional Phrase - the noun or pronoun that follows the preposition in a sentence.
Prepositional Phrase - begins with a preposition and ends with the object of the preposition and includes all the words between them.
