Friday/Monday Work :

Research the person you chose for your Research Report !

You can use the passage I gave you in class, Kiddle, or google. (Kiddle is an online encyclopedia for kids.)

Be sure you answer all the questions on the paper I gave you in class. This will help you tremendously when we start to write next week.

5th Grade Vocabulary - Chapter 2 & 3 Review 

1.  Compare - tells how two things are alike. 

2.  Contrast - tells how two things are different.

3.  Noun - a person, place, or thing.

4.  Common Noun - a general name of something.

5.  Proper Noun - the specific name of something.

6.  Abbreviation - a short way to write a word.

7.  Singular Noun - names one person, place, or thing.

8.  Plural Noun - names more than one person, place, or thing.

9.  Possessive Noun - shows that something has or owns something.

10.  Comma - used to show a pause in writing.
