5th Grade Language Arts

This week we have worked on Compare and Contrast. How to take facts from 2 topics, find their differences and similarities and put them into a vinn diagram. Today they will use the vinn diagram to write about the topics. Once we broke it down a little bit they really have done well with this; very proud !!!

Friday/Monday Work

• Finish page 37 & 38

• Cumulative Review Pages 39 & 40

• Study W6 Vocab Words

  • Burly - strong, heavy

  • Prickle - small, sharp point

  • Deprive - remove or withhold something, usually something that is expected

  • Glimpse - a brief, quick look

  • Bellow - loud roar

*Test will be on Thursday 9/25
