6th Gr. ELA (Nov. 4-6)

Tuesday: Make changes to your paper that were suggested in class by Mrs. Debbie. Many need a new paragraph on a new line, indented, for each reason in their persuasive paper. Some need to work on organizing their reason paragraphs to be about that one reason and examples for it. Some need a conclusion or an introduction with the topic sentence in it. Read your paper aloud to an adult. It will help you see where you need to work on things.

• **If you did not bring in your paper today, I need to see it Wednesday without fail.

• Begin studying for next week's final chapters test and vocab.

• Check back tomorrow for additional assignments.

Wednesday:  Finish revising first draft with a colored pen. Make sure your sentences make sense! Use checklist on WB p. 72.

·         Make sure your writing includes everything listed & does NOT include propaganda tactics.

·      HINT: Read it to another person at home to double check this part.

·   Work on this tonight and bring to class tomorrow.  **Use your Ch. 4 rubric to make sure you have all necessary things included.

Reading: Study for Ch. 9-10 novel test and vocab. test next Thurs.

Weekend Work:

Grammar: none

Writing:  Proofread your paper.  Make corrections in colored pencil/pen. *Reread afterwards to make sure you caught all mistakes.Reading: Study for the final ch. quiz and vocab quiz for From the Mixed-Up Files… Test Thurs.
