8th Gr. ELA (Sept. 23-25)

Tuesday: WB p. 67 & WB p. 70 #11-20 & “Use the Skill” on both pg. 

  **We discussed Psalm 78: 5-8 in class. Read Psalm 78: 17-22, 31-34, 40-43, 56-67 to see consequences of forgetting God.  

  I will check journals on Wed. for a grade. You should have 4 entries by now (one for each chapter).

 Start learning new vocab. You have 22 words. If you work on 5 words each night (Tues. thru Fri. and Mon.), you can review on Tues and Wed. week to be ready for your test.

Wednesday: WB p. 73 #11-20 and “Use the Skill”

Weekend Work:

Grammar: WB p. 75 #11-20 and “Use the Skill” 

Writing: Write or type your Final Copy of your narrative. Be sure to go back and proofread the final copy and correct any mistakes. Use your rubrics and checklist to make sure you have all required elements.

Reading: Reread Ch. 3-4. Be able to summarize the important events. Hint: you should have written them in your journal last weekend. If not, catch up by doing it. Study for your vocab. test and test over the Ch. contents next Thurs.
