FRIDAY: “Who Is Really Responsible?”
Answer the question: Who bears the greatest responsibility for the chaos in Salem so far? Defend your answer using at least three specific pieces of evidence from Acts 1–2.
Five possible sources of blame:
Abigail
The other girls
The adults of Salem
The court / government
Salem’s culture of fear, reputation, and suspicion
-Rank all five from MOST responsible → LEAST responsible.
-Then, choose your #1 and write a 300-500 word response.
MONDAY: The Salem Propaganda Poster
Assignment: Create a piece of propaganda that a person living in Salem during Acts 1–2 might realistically have created.
Your propaganda should attempt to influence Salem's citizens to think, fear, believe, or do something.
It must:
Clearly connect to events in Acts 1–2.
Represent the perspective of a specific character or group.
Use at least two details from the play.
Include a slogan, headline, or persuasive message.
Use visual elements intentionally.
On the back: Write 1 paragraph explaining what your propaganda is trying to make Salem's citizens believe and how your design reflects the character/group's perspective.
Start memorizing Philippians 2:5-11: 5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
