• Exam #1 is scheduled for Thursday, August 27 so it's time to start studying

Classwork Assignment #1

• Rewrite your lecture notes in an organized easy to read format.

  • You can use the notetaking pages provided in your workbook pages 17-24.

• Use the textbook to add in any details or definitions that help you understand the content.

• Color code the information (ex: highlight the main concept in yellow and choose a different color to highlight important details/words in the explanation of the concept.

  • By doing ALL these things you are creating your own study guide and actively participating in the process of studying.

• Practice writing out the answers to the Module 1 vocabulary and questions (yes, all the questions). You can make them into flash cards if it helps you. I really do want you to practice writing the answers. The action and the repetition help you learn the content material.

I will check the assignments for completion and assign points for the work completion.

Classwork Assignment #2

• Prepare for the Module #1 Lab scheduled for Tuesday, 8/25.

• Read Module #1 Experiment 1.1: Introduction to the microscope Pages 28-29

• Learn the parts of the microscope (pages 28-29)

• In class on Tuesday, we will work through the procedures B, C, D outlined in the lab instructions.
