• Read Chapter 4 of The Hiding Place

  • We will have a reading check quiz on Tuesday.

• Choose one of the following assignments:

  • Option 1: “Faith Forecast” — Radio Report from Haarlem

    
    

    -Pretend you’re a radio host in Haarlem during the time of Chapter 4.

    
    

    -Create a short radio broadcast (written or recorded) reporting one major event or atmosphere from the chapter.

    
    

    Include:

    • A headline (Example: “Trouble on the Horizon: Clouds Gather Over Haarlem”)

      
      
      
      

    • A factual recap (2–3 sentences)

      
      
      
      

    • One quote or paraphrased moment from the book

      
      
      
      

    • A “faith forecast” — what hope can still be found?

      
      
      
      

      —Option 2: “Snapshots of Faith”

    Choose 3 meaningful “snapshots” (moments, lines, or images) from the chapter that stood out to you.

    For each snapshot:

    1. Write 1–2 sentences describing what’s happening.

       
       

    2. Write 1–2 sentences explaining what it reveals about faith, courage, or compassion.

       
       

    3. Add a small doodle, symbol, or decorative border that fits that moment (stick figures are totally fine).
