4/10/26 Weekend Work

Here is your assignment for the weekend. You will each be given a topic and you must do research on your topic. You will need to understand your topic and your answer and have at least two pages of information typed on your topic to present to the class on Tuesday along with a visual aid. The visual aid can be a picture, a video or an actual fossil of you can get your hands on one. If your presentation is written completely by AI - it will be an automatic ZERO. You must list at least 3 websites or books from which you got your information.


Daniel McEachin - Tell me about the fossils we consider to ORIGINAL MATERIAL fossils. Where are they found? What animals are usually represented? How are they formed? What information do these fossils provide? and any other information you would like to share.


Noah Clements - Petrified Fossils - Answer the same questions as above for Daniel's assignment.


Annabelle Sledge - Casts and Mold Fossils - see above questions to answer


Cameron Baker - Carbon Print Fossils - see above questions for other students


Ayden Gilley - Trace Fossils - answer the same questions as your peers above


Brandi Barnes - Microfossils - see above instructions


Bella Dixon - How does the process of Death and Decay affect our fossil record? How can remains survive decay? What are some rare fossil finds that scientists have found that have survived decay?


Jacob Cone - Tell me about fossils that have formed through Rapid Burial. What is Rapid burial? When and where has it occurred? What are some fossil finds and locations around the world where this was the process? What are the outstanding details of Rapid burial fossils?


Megan Lyles - Research the Fossil trap of Amber. What have found trapped in Amber? Where do we find these treasures and what do they tell us? Include anything interesting you find about this topic.


Landen Blanchett - Research the Fossil trap of Ice and answer the same questions as Megan.


Jake Wilson - Research Fossil trap of Asphalt Traps and answer the same questions as Megan and Landen.
