Phonics- Read to your child for 15-20 minutes both Friday and Monday. Review p, s, and a letters and sounds, having her tell you things that start with each. I gave them each a bag with their new sight word cards (I, a, the). Please review those as well. Complete Get Set for the Code pages 18-19 and pages 22-23. Complete Letters and Numbers for Me pages 40- 41.

(A lot of developing readiness for early reading is best done in small segments throughout the day. On Friday and Monday, as well as at any other times, help your child notice letters around her, talk about what sounds things start with, and play rhyming games. Ex: I'm thinking of something that starts with r and rhymes with bat...rat)

Science- Complete Rainy Day worksheet.

Social Studies- I will text a link to a song about Christopher Columbus for them to listen to on Monday for Columbus Day. (They can also look back on p. 41 in their Social Studies book.)
