We will be presenting our research papers to the class. The following list is what I will be looking for during the presentation:
Organization — You have a clear main idea and purpose and the audience can easily follow your presentation. Don’t make us guess at the topic and where you’re going with it.
Voice — You speak clearly at a volume that is acceptable to the audience. You do not whisper or scream. A normal volume should suffice.
Eye contact and body language — You should not read your presentation to us. You should look at the audience more than you look at your notes. Body language means that you are not over dramatic with your gesturing with your hands/arms. Professionalism is the key.
Visual Aid — You must have a visual aid other than you and your notes. This may be items to assist in your presentation, a poster, a handout, or a PowerPoint or slides. If you create a poster, those in the back of the room should be able to see it
clearly. When creating a poster, remember less is best. You don’t want it to look crowed.
Timeframe — The presentation should not be less than 5 minutes or more than 10 minutes.
ALL STUDENTS MUST BE PRESENT FOR ALL PRESENTATIONS. Students who are not present will have points deducted from their presentation.
