8/14/2025 — 2nd & 3rd Period Language Arts

Today, we completed our first essay. Students who did not finish will complete it for homework and turn it in at the BEGINNING of class on Tuesday.

For homework, students will discuss The Lord’s Prayer with anyone and everyone (family, friends, enemies). Their assignment is to know more about The Lord’s Prayer on Tuesday than they know today by answering the following questions concerning the Prayer: who?, to whom?, when?, why?, where?, original?, and anything else they can think of to assist them in understanding the Prayer more fully. They may take notes to ensure that they remember important information they learn over the weekend. They may also use the internet; I encourage asking Dr. Google any questions. I also encourage students to read various versions.

On Tuesday, we will briefly discuss what they have learned and begin another fun-filled essay. Again, the weekend homework is to give them more knowledge of the history/background of the Prayer so they can attack the essay with confidence.
