The Night essay is due Wednesday at the beginning of class. Students may bring the essay Tuesday for class revision and for me to review it; however, this is not mandatory, only suggested. Students may email me the final copy anytime before the beginning of 4th period on Wednesday. Essays that are emailed to me will be considered the final copy.

The essay is due Tuesday . Students who handwrote their essay and I made corrections/ revisions for them will need to rewrite the entire essay. This will be the final copy and no revisions will be allowed. I’d suggestion looking for the following: That there are no “you’s” or derivatives of you (your, yours, you’re, etc) in the essay UNLESS it is within a quote. That the organization is as follows within the body paragraphs: topic sentence, then begin with each commandment

Students should look over the questions on the back of the handout (beginning with “ Night examines… ) and be prepared to discuss these questions in depth tomorrow. Students are also encouraged to google the Jewish holocaust and look at photos of the concentration camps and their inhabitants to get a better idea of what Elie Wiesel went through.
