Chapter 2 test tomorrow!!

Quiz 1 was returned today along with writing assignment feedback. Going forward, we will be prepping in-class for quizes and tests the day before so that everyone has a chance to brush-up and ask questions. The quizes were good overall and the writing assignments were excellent. I was so inspired by their historical figures that I think we will refine those assignments to a more in-depth form for a test grade and we will discuss them in class. Great work! 9.1.26 Tuesday I intend to review the self test from sections 1, 2, and 3 in preparation for the test over Unit 1 (book 1) on Wednesday. There is a test in the back of book 1, but I have typed a new one that is similar, but not exactly the same.

9.1.26 Tuesday in class I intend to review for the test on Wednesday. It will cover all of chapter one - mostly vocabulary, but they also have two study guides to help with what the actual test will look like. Test 1 is a fill in the blank with A, B, C choices.

8.18.26 There are a list of words and definitions - matching. There are two study guides (first half of chapter 1 and second half). I am planning a test over chapter 1 next week. Students should practice the words and know the definitions in a variety of formats: true/false, matching, fill-in the blank, and writing definitions or explanations (ex: to what does the "big bang" refer).

8.28.26 we are working our way through the packet that was handed out last week. Several students were out one or more days and we have just continued to work through the chapter 1 material.

8.28.26 Students have completed section 3 of unit 1 book. They should study all three self tests and the final test at the end of the book. I plan to quiz them Tuesday and test will be Wednesday. Same content, but different order or questions type (T/F may become matching, may ask for written definitions, etc.)

8.28.26 Students are to finish their test at home. The test will not count and we will use it as a homework. since all the students are having trouble with the pace of the new book, I have decided to go back and do 6th grade math instead. I have the books and students will trade on Tuesday.
