HOMEWORK

Good afternoon. I usually don’t post everyday on the website just on Thursdays. We do one lesson a day unless it’s something very easy and we do two. After I teach the lesson I go over the work and they have time to work on it in class. What they don’t complete is homework. After we complete the chapter we will have a chapter test over it. And there will also be a quiz or multiple quizzes for each chapter. Wednesday we did lesson1.2 pages 11 & 12. Problems 1-19, 21-24, odds 2

Review your vocabulary words from the Anglo-Saxon period and be ready to start reading Beowulf tomorrow.

Read over your parts for tomorrow. Answer this question in one paragraph: Arthur Miller changed history in The Crucible. Does that make The Crucible historically useless? What can we learn from a story that changes history?

Write what you think the definition of each of these vocabulary words is: 1) observe 2) interpret 3) infer 4) evidence 5) context Write ONE paragraph that you could add to "The Empty Desk" story from today.

Complete page 6 of your worktext on prepositions. Look over page 5, as well, to be sure you understand prepositions, object of the preposition, and what a prepositional phrase is, so we can move ahead tomorrow. :)

8/11 Tuesday Homework for today is to finish the textbook scavenger hunt. It is due tomorrow and will greatly help as we learn this year. We had a great day and I loved getting to know all our new friends.
